Hares and Rock Rabbits

These animals live almost everywhere. They are vegetarians. Male and female look alike. They were formerly classified as rodents, but they have additional incisor teeth behind their main upper pair. Hares have long legs and leap; rabbits have short legs and hop.Hare babies are defensible hours after birth, rabbits and pikas are born blind and bald and must be nurtured. The pika looks like a small rabbit with short round ears and no tail. Soles of their feet are covered with hair for traction. Pikas don't hop, all of their legs are the same length, and they store food.
